2011 – dual-channel HD video installation with looping CGI animation
Alibi is a nondescript private club comprising some of Washington DC’s most elite and powerful men. One channel depicts the structure recreated in CGI animation software, taking on the properties of fabric; gently blowing in the wind. On the other channel, a former Vanderbilt estate is blackened and decorated with regalia, as a never ending series of cinematic pans and dollys portray a kind of solemn funeral for a past empire.
